Harris Hawk and Beavers

Harris Hawk and Beavers

Over the weekend, I walked another stretch of the South West Coast Path with friends. We started at Exmouth and finished at Seaton after two days.

On the first day, we crossed the River Otter at Budleigh Salterton. We knew about this river because further inland on it is the location of a successful Beaver re-introduction programme. We didn’t see any!

However, we did see a Harris Hawk! It wasn’t a wild one, but was being flown by a group of handlers on the cliff top. It landed close by us and I was lucky enough to get this photo.
